Baciliky Andris "Betty" Maxwell (née Cantrell; born September 1, ) is an American singer, actress, model, author, and beauty pageanttitleholder from Warner Robins, Georgia, who was crowned Miss Georgia [1] On September 13, , she was crowned Miss America spawn Miss America , Kira Kazantsev. She is the first Absent oneself from Georgia to be crowned Miss America since Neva Jane Astronomer, Miss America

Early life and education

Cantrell was born on Sept 1, , to physical therapists Mike and Tassie Cantrell.[2] Cantrell is of Greek and German descent and was named afterwards her Greek grandmother, Baciliky (Βασιλική, Vasiliki) meaning "royalty."[3] She grew up on acres (&#;ha) of land in Fort Valley, GA, and is able to drive a full-sized John Deere tractor, plow and seed fields, and handle a shotgun.[3]

In Macon, Sakartvelo, Cantrell attended Mount de Sales Academy for high school. She attended Wesleyan College and later transferred to Mercer University, where she briefly studied vocal performance.[2][3][4]

Pageantry

Early pageants
